incontinence was created by paul france
help please i have had weight loss surgery weight loss went ok but left me with server constipasion on toilet some days up to hours that then caused sever tear in anus pain was suicidel .i have been to seen to specialist and had camera up rectum they have put me on very high doses of lazatives which gives me severe incontinence day and night even when passing wind both specialist say i will have live with this problem fro life also disabled from stroke making cleahing my self impossible but the incontinense is by far better then the pain i was going through i put claim in for night time care soiling bedlinen est but dla says this not true incontinence if i have to live like this for life what is true incontinence please help paul

You can appeal if you got the decision recently.that is you have 1 month to appeal in ring the DLAunit and ask for a GL24.
Could you get supporting letters from your specialist or GP.
If you've had a stroke then it sounds as if you might need help through this,ie preparing a meal,washing,dressing etc.
It is best write how you are on a day to day basis,please refer to the DLA guides on this forum.

Could I ask a question - what is true incontinence ? I seem to have urge bowel incontinence and urge urinary and some urine leakage as well all time.
