Gordon,
I have taken your advice and rang newcastle again,
unfortunately I got the same person and he assured me that I have the correct form and they have only sent out the newer form
last week. He said if I have the medical
the the new form will apply. Difficult being in a foreign land when problems arise.
Now sure how the benefit will work.
I might ring again tomorrow to see if I get a different opinion.
What are the differences ?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

However, the legislation regarding a UK resident is very clear.
The old form goes with the old tests and medical, it was superceded on 28/03/11 and any form issued after this date must be the new one.
The new form goes with the new tests and medical.
You cannot mix the old form with the new test or vice versa.
Hope this helps

One of the reasons we have been unable to definite in our responses is that none of us know whether there is legislation or regulations that alter the way kn which a claimant living abroad would be managed. That said, having looked I could not find any.Gordon,

Hi Worried, please can you let us know if you have had your assessment. I am due mine next Tuesday here in France and don't know what to expect.
I don't know what form I filled out; stupidly, I only made a copy of the page the GP completed but I remember the form mentioned walking and not mobilising.
Thanks.
