Is this a good result or bad? I have requested a copy of report showing how this decision was reached but I have been told that I have passed the medical by scrunity. What does that mean? Rang Jobcentre plus but they didn't know either. Shall I let sleeping dogs lie? Any advice will be most gratefully accepted.
Hi Jools
Whilst ESA and WRAG are not my area of expertise, this is a recent answer from our Mod Gordon, which gives general advice. I'm afraid I don't know what they mean exactly by scrutiny -
The Work Related Activity Group is for ESA claimants that the DWP believe will at some time be capable of working again.
As such you will be required to attend 5-6 Work Focussed Interviews, where your proscpects will be discussed and you may be required to carry out some work related activity, such as writing a CV, or training in areas such as interview technique.
WFIs are explained in the Pathways to Work guide in the Work section section of the Members area.
I want to stress that whilst you have to participate in this work related activity you are not required to seek work.

Medical scrutiny is where the paper medical evidence is scrutinised without calling you in for a medical.
You can phone or write to JCP and ask for a copy of your ESA85A report and any other documents relating to your assessment. This should give you an indication of how you were placed in the WRAG.
