You need to score 15 points or more across any and all of the 17 ESA descripors, there are actually 10 physical tests and 7 mental ones, so in principle, the odds are actually in your favouri am expecting the form in the post for migrating from ib to esa. i suffer from fibromyalgia and have more physical problems than mental. will this go against me when filling out the form. my only problem with mental health is fibro fog, where i forget things and get confused.

There are also criteria for the Support Group, you need to meet one or more of these, and exceptional cicumstances.
Lots of our members have been granted ESA with FMS, so it is possible.
Have a look at our ESA Claim guides in the Members Only area to get a better understanding of how to relate your diabilities to the tests.

Hi Kat,
It is not the condition that qualifies a claimant for an award of ESA, it is the limitations suffered with respect to the descriptors in the 2 sections, ie physical limitations and mental health limitations.
I don't understand what you mean by "will this go against me", as claimants can qualify with just physical limitations, or mental health limitations, or both.
The ESA Guides will help with filling in the ESA50, and how to best explain your limitations with respect to each question and section.
Maybe another member with "fibro" could offer further advice.
cheers
