Hi Martin, I guess there are cases where someone has qualified for the Support group due to an accident or illness that can be recovered from.
Or, the government are just trying to exhaust people out of complaining and appealing!
Best wishes,
Rachel
I would tend to agree with the second paragraph of your post, as in my opinion the WCA is indeed a war of attrition.

I have just got off the phone to jobcentre (JCP) and they said there would be "nothing on my file" to explain this recall..It seems to me very poor policy that people who are ill/disabled enough to be placed in the support group can be targeted again like this. I had sent in all my tribunal paperwork, doctors' and concultants' reports with the second medical form, so JCP had this prior to instructing Atos. I will take it all along to the medical. I would urge everyone still fighting or going to tribunal to keep on though..I will go back to tribunal if need be and will send a complaint to JCP also. It seems unfair and discriminatory for them to be able to do this and we have to fight them and expose this. (sorry this is so long).

There is also a feeling that the re-assessments are being used as some sort of 'punishment' meted out to people who have won their appeals ...

Thank you all for your replies which have confirmed my belief that there is no real reason for my being reassessed, but rather some random targeting of some claimants.

Without commenting on the reasons behind your 'recall' I hope all goes well for you.
You could contact your MP and inform them of this - www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/forum?func=vie...imit=6&start=6#71521

I think Mrs Hurtybacks comments about being counted from the original date are correct.
