Benefits Integrity Check was created by sdrogerson
I have tried to search for an answer I failed.
I am shortly going to be 60 I am male. I have been on IB since 1999 and DLA since then with a lifelong award made many years ago.
Today I received a simple form asking what benefits I get and how often.
I filled it it in, I get DLA Highest Rate,IB and my wife Carer's Allowance.
The form was headed IB and Severe Disablement Allowance and rubber stamped at the bottom was Benefit Integrity Checker.

Can anyone tell me what this is about and why I got it?

It sounds like this is part of a new initiative by the DWP to cut down on payment errors.

They are randomly selecting claimants and asking them to confirm their benefit details, to make sure that the correct payments are being made.

It should be nothing to worry about,

Gordon

Hi Gordon,

Seems strange for DWP to start using phrases nearly identical to one's that they dropped years ago.

If you recall the Benefits Integrity Project (BIP) was used by the DLA Unit in Blackpool to carry out random checks on DLA claimants. About three years, BIP was dropped and renamed Right Payment Programme (RPP) which is still in operation.

Rather confusing in my opinion, although not a new situation for the DWP.

Pat
