DLA Appeal

I've just spoken to my sister about her DLA appeal she just had. She's very upset, as the judge, when questioning her about her continence problems, asked to see her spare underwear.
My sister feels that it was unfair, embarassing and inappropriate, and I was wondering if they were even allowed to ask her something like that, as I know they aren't allowed to ask you to walk up and down etc.
Does anyone know if she could take this further? She will definitely be complaining, and getting a copy of the transcript. Thanks.

Hi S,
Sorry to hear of your sister's distress.
There is a link regarding complaining on this web page. :

I guess what I'm wondering is if the decision could be set aside or whatever it's called, due to this? My sis wasn't happy about being asked, and the judge said 'don't worry, we're all women here', but the doctor and the clerk were male.
Anyway, the point is that she looked in her bag and said oh I've forgotten them, when she had actually left them in the car, and the reason the judge gave for refusing the appeal was that there were too many inconsistencies.
In fact my sister is on so much medication she hardly knows what planet she's on half the time...

The link that I provided was more general in content, and ultimately would have in all probabilities referred you back to the tribunals contact website.
