I believe that there is an action plan drawn up by the advisers when you go to a work-focussed interview, which you have to agree to. What would be best for me to do as I am currently awaiting contact from DWP as to whether I will got to an appeal regarding my need to be in the support group and not WRAG? If they try to get me to agree to anything, this would surely effect my appeal and if I don't agree to the action plan will they see it as me being unreasonable? Catch 22....lots of rocks and hard places.
Hi TCP,
As I am sure you will understand it is not possible to give a definitive answer here.
I would certainly make the Job Centre Plus WFI person aware of your limitations, and that you are in fact appealing to go into SG.
As you know WFI's are mandatory, however you could request a deferment, but again they do not have to comply with your request.
See DM Guide on WFI's here. 53021 onwards :
webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/20100...gov.uk/docs/ch53.pdf
They do have to give you 7 days notice for a WFI appointment.
cheers
