As a footnote to all this I just called my GP surgery and asked the practise manager if I could obtain a copy of my records ( including letters from consultants) yes sir no sir three bags full sir. She asked me to put it in writing and she'd gladly send them to me. Just goes to show that you neeed to get right through to the management and not speak to the underlings, one of whom insisted last week that the records cant leave the building
