Please abide by BenefitsandWork few rules. was created by Jim Allison BSc, Inst LE, MBIM; MA (Consumer Protection & Social Welfare Law)
Hi All,
As is made clear in the FAQ.
we cannot answer individual queries on benefits. This includes benefits which can be claimed abroad either from an EEC country or elsewhere. It takes us all our time to answer queries on benefits which can be claimed in the UK, so asking for advice on benefits abroad is an individual request for advice, since the rules on benefits payable abroad in EEC or EEA or other countries are extremely complex, and depend on an individual claimants circumstances.
Furthermore, posts which criticise a moderators decision should not be posted in the forum. Any posts of this nature will not be approved, or if they slip through our pre-moderation, they will at best be locked, or more likely deleted, especially if they attack a particular moderator, as was the case today where my decision to lock a post was accused of 'being out of line'
Complaints about moderators, and I'd just like to reiterate that ALL moderators have chronic ill-health /disability themselves and ALL work as moderators on a voluntary basis, should be made to the site owner, Steve Donnison at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for him to reply to.
Thank you for your cooperation.

I'd like to add that very few messages are deleted or edited by moderators. We are proud of our reputation as a site where people can post without unpleasant responses from other members, where we do not offer advice on topics we know nothing about and where we avoid people posting things that would bring the site into disrepute.
Help us to keep it that way.
