Hello,
I have a downloaded copy of the gl24.I've tried three times to obtain the reasons for being placed in wrag.My
deadline date is 7th.December for my
documentaion to be received in Aberdeen.
So, do I wait to receive the elusive
wrag reasons document, or just go ahead
and send my completed gl24 + supporting
letters, which are ready to go. Advice needed please. I have the medical report,
which I've referenced in my letter/gl24.
Is it worth waiting? Don't want to miss my deadline.

Hi,

it is more important that the GL24 reaches it's destination by the cut off date, that waiting for documents from the DWP.

Unless you have a VERY good reason, a request for a late appeal is rarely successful, hence the importance of getting the appeal documentation in before the one month cut off.

Once you have received the requested paperwork if appropriate you can then send any in further information etc not already submitted with the GL24.

Many thanks,
off to the post soon!
Yes, I've kept copies of all documents. Thanks for the timely advice!
Roughly 7 weeks for a reconsideration?

Hi,

Re length of time for a reconsideration, sadly it is the how long is a piece of string scenario, depending on where you live and the workload and claimant numbers of the office dealing with your claim.
