ESA Appeals - Do ring and check appeal received!!

I sent in my ESA appeal recorded signed for on 16 November. Rang to check it had been received. Contact Centre advised me not received as of today 25 November.

Got a call back from Scotland this afternoon - and told appeal not on the system but is in the office. Unclear when received in the office. Reluctant to send written confirmation appeal received.

But - I was also told I have to get a MED 3 from my GP or my benefit would stop. Even though I had not been asked to send in a MED 3. After some discussion it transpired my record had been marked that my ESA had been disallowed, rather than what actually happened which is that I had been put in the WRAG. Member of staff at DWP very apologetic and courteous, but so glad I rang - shows what can go wrong.

Will write and confirm as you suggested just to be on the safe side, so far the DWP have not filled me with confidence.
