I take it you are referring to Disability Living Allowance (DLA) as opposed to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA)?
If so, it is to bear in mind that DLA and ESA are essentially two differing benefits, paid for differing reasons. Although the maybe a small degree of overlap, there is no actual direct comparison between the two benefits.
If claiming ESA you need to meet the descriptors to score a minimum of 15 points for an award of ESA in the Work Related Activity Group(WRAG). If is looking to be placed into the support group, then as well as qualifying via the points for WRAG, one must also meet the further descriptors for the Support Group.
