I would like direction on two queries.

Where does these components apply to on the EASA claims form?

The DVLA middle rate care component for help with personal care and the lower rate mobility component for help with getting around. On mental health grounds.

Hi,

I take it you are referring to Disability Living Allowance (DLA) as opposed to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA)?

If so, it is to bear in mind that DLA and ESA are essentially two differing benefits, paid for differing reasons. Although the maybe a small degree of overlap, there is no actual direct comparison between the two benefits.

If claiming ESA you need to meet the descriptors to score a minimum of 15 points for an award of ESA in the Work Related Activity Group(WRAG). If is looking to be placed into the support group, then as well as qualifying via the points for WRAG, one must also meet the further descriptors for the Support Group.

Details of the descriptors and the points they score, as well as the Support Group descriptors are available in the ESA guides in the members area accessible from this page:

Pete
