I have asked for form GL24 to be sent to me (no ink so can't print of online copy) looking at the form it seems very simple, but was wondering what are the golden rules or tips people would give for going down this route, can i get GP's letter and medical report so i can pick holes in it etc, and do i do that when i submit GL24 or wait until i get an appeal date.

Hi,
If there is any 'golden rule' it is to get the GL24 submitted and received by the DWP within one month of the letter advising about the result of your claim. If you miss this it is extremely difficult to try to get the DWP to allow a late appeal.
If you scroll down the following page you will find the guides to DLA appeals which includes info on the GL24 form.
