hi all my wife is 62 and is due to renew her dla next year. will she be classed as retired or is that not until she reaches 65.

Hi Bill

DLA can be claimed until age 65 if female. If over 65 your wife may be able to claim Attendance Allowance. Its anticipated that DLA will be replaced by Personal Independence Payments eventually.
