Appeal Success! was created by greeneyedlad
Hi All
OMG Im in a state of shock!
I appealed being put in WRAG with no medical, but was told upon reconsideration the decision hadnt changed, I sent a complaint letter to the District Manager (still awaiting a reply) & also sent a letter from my psychiatrist to the DM who did the reconsideration & asked she reconsider again.
Well the DM has just phoned me & said she called Atos today for advice & they have decided to grant me Support Group!!
She said she will send me a standard letter in writing to confirm it.
She also said that she didnt think my money would change but wasnt sure.
I corrected her & said it was about £4 more (its actually £5.60(i think?)) so we shall see if i get more & backdated or not.
I asked her if a new ESA85a was filled in by Atos & she said no.
I forgot to ask if she did a new LT54, it would be interesting to see her reasons for the change of mind.
She did say the 6 month prognosis had not changed so I will have to go through all this again shortly no doubt.
Thank you so much to this wonderfull site, its guides, moderators, & members. (I'm sorry if iv been a bit of a pain, i tend to get obsessive)
Please please everyone who is appealing do not give up, we must fight them!

Well done Martin,
Just a quick question what is meant by the 6 month Prognosis???? Is it with regards to your condition or is it that it is DWP policy to review you again after 6 months.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The prognosis is supplied by the ATOS "doctor" and istheir opinion as to when a claimant would be Fit for Work, it is usually used by the DWP as the next re-assessment date.Well done Martin,

Thanks Gordon for clarifying that.
However, based on your reply another question for you, If ones treating consultants whom one has seen over a long period of time states that their patients condition is unlikely to improve, can ATOS state otherwise???
Furthermore, correct me if i am wrong, i believed that the support group was for people with long term illnesses!!!
Thanks.
