Hi can anyone help I have got my dla tribunal ahead and have 12 days in which to send enquiry form back and I can not get any one to represent me at the hearing. I have asked cab they say they do not get funding to do this welfare rights in my area were very rude (im shocked) as her words were "you do know that dla is only for disabled people who need help and care" arghhh

Hi CM,
I am sorry that you are having problems gaining representation.
Many members successfully represent themselves at DLA Tribunal Hearings.
Have you looked at our DLA Guides here :
DLA Guides
There is also information on getting help and advice here :
Where to get advice?

I have had a look but the thought of this is making me ill.
I have started to have panic attacks and dont know if I could do this.
I just think having someone there who is not only going to represent you but indeed giving you suport really matters.
IE I attended an esa medical and the health worker/dr?/ very incompetent as she has put down I have PID pelvic inflammatory disease; I did tell her No its not actually it stands for Prolapsed intervertable discs. arghhh so I know that that is totally wrong but she insisted ..That was on a report of an MRI scan..So not feeling very confident about this..

Hi CM,
If the panic attacks are being brought on by mental health problems, as well as your physical problems, have you thought of contacting the two agencies below, to gain support :
www.rethink.org/
Or :
www.mind.org.uk/
I'm not sure if the above would be applicable to you, just trying to offer more information.
