Has anyone who has had their mobility reduced was created by Ang
Hi
has anyone who has either had their mobility reduced or stopped been able to continue the payments to motability and keep the car.
I am just getting worried as I have had a review form today and without my car would not be able to get out or to work

Motability have changed their rules considerably in recent months.
The best advice I can offer is to ring Motability Operations on 0845 456 4566 and they will be able to advise you of the current rules.
If you 'phone they will need either your agreement number or the registration number of your current car.

I rang them last week to ask exactly the same question and was told that the car would have to go back, as they are a charity and it is not possible for me to personally make the payments.

Hi Ang,
You are perhaps worrying about something that may never happen.
Presumably you mean you've received a renewal form because your current DLA award
of higher rate mobility (HRM) is due to end in the next 3-6 months ?
If your mobility needs haven't changed, then you should continue to receive HRM and continue to enjoy the benefit of deciding to use your HRM to lease a car via Motability.
Good luck.
Jim

Hi Jim
I hope so.
its not a renewal that I have, thats not until July. its a review. They wanted the forms back by 31st Jan but I have asked them for more time as I need to get help from DIAC and there is a waiting list.
Once the review is done and dusted will I still have to do the July renewal.
Thanks
