No work-related activity when awaiting appeal was created by TCP
I have just been advised by an advocate connected to a charity that legally no one who is awaiting appeal against work-related activity in ESA, should have to take part in any interviews or activity. They said that the DWP are acting illegally by insisting that people HAVE an obligation to attend when appealing to be placed in support group and removed form this 'work-related activity'. They even offered me a pro forma letter, which I could send to the DWP to challenge this decision. Is this true?

Thanks, Survivor. I have read the piece that you have forwarded, but it still doesn't really clarify what the DWP expect of me and the total absurdity of the situation myself and countless others are facing.I'm still confused by this as I was was of the 90% moved from long-term IB to ESA WRAG. I had no medical assessment. My confirmation call and letter acknowledged that I was ill/disabled but may be able to work in the future. I have progressive nerve damage and had to give up my previous employment because of failing health and it has deteriorated further. While I appeal and I've been told the hearing won't be until December or later, I have had my WFI's held back until February and CAB have advised me to keep telling them that I'm not fit to attend them as the stress is having a massive impact on my health. I will just have to see what happens.
Many thanks
