Hi S,
There is nothing at all to stop you making a claim for DLA.
You must have suffered from the limitations/disabilities/care needs, as a result of your medical conditions for at least 3 months before your claim, and be expecting to suffer the same for at least 6 months after you make your claim.
If you are going to make a claim, you should not delay, as they can only backdate any award, to the date of your initial claim.
