being called for your first wfi was created by mangof
If you've been placed in wrag do they always write to you with your first appointment or do they sometimes call first before a letter?

Also, if you put in an appeal how soon might you be at risk of hearing from 'the explanation team'?

(I'm worrying about a telephone call from a withheld number. I never answer withheld number calls).

Thanks.

Your invitation to your first first WFI and indeed any subsequent ones, has to be made in writing, so you should not worried about ignoring calls.

I wouldn't worry about the "team", however, a Decision Maker might try to contact you with regard to your appeal.

The following FAQ explains this in more detail.

Answering a phone call from the DWP or ATOS

Thank you Gordon.

Although when you are anxiety prone you can start to worry about letters being lost in the post and then not knowing when an appointment was etc

I will try not to. I should be able to get help from the CAB if something goes awry.

My appeal went in on Friday so it might be a bit early for a decision maker to be calling.

Thanks for your help.
