There are many more documents than this available from DWP via freedom of information requests
Medical Information, scrutiny guidelines and so on, training modules and things few welfare rights workers have seen
I know these documents can give the claimant a lot of valuable information, and sometimes it can prove things were not done properly
I'd recommend you seek these out as well

Yes, this is the most recent version publicly available
and the dates on the document are confusing -- the cover is dated 4 October 2011, yet the foreward from the Office of the Chief Medical Adviser is dated 4 November.
go figure ...
--however this document still includes the incorrect interpretation of activity 7, 'understanding communication'.
This has now been revised following new guidance issued on 23 November 2011
see the Benefits & Work news story of January 26

Omg that took a lot of reading;
But it has made things al lot clearer the ATOS medical I had was a farce..
