I am on incapacity benefit for OCD and depression, waiting to hear about which ESA group I am going in after having a medical. I sent a thread the other day about my circumstances changing. I do now think that this is going to be a permanent thing. I want to know what is the best way to tell the DWP about these changes. I can't cope with ringing them, so should I just send them a letter and do you think I should get any sort of letter/evidence off my doctor. I want to get this sorted out soon because I am already stressed about having to make myself get out more with my children, etc.. without the worry of what the DWP will say/do. Thanks.

If you are certain that you can handle these changes in the long term, then you should write to your local DWP office detailing what these changes are. You should also ask the DWP to confirm in writing that they have received the letter.
As always retain a copy for your own records, and post the letter either by Recorded Delivery or ask for a Certificate of Posting.
It is possible, I can't tell you how likely it is, that this may trigger a re-assessment.

I can't cope with the thought of these changes and actually feel worse than before but it is something that I HAVE to do. Do you know if others have been re-assessed when they have mentioned a change in circumstances? Do people normally get info off their doctor to send too, or not? Finally, would I have to have another medical or do you not know? Thanks.

It depends on the criteria you met when you were previously assessed, as an example, if you scored 9 points for
15 (b) Is unable to get to a specified place with which the claimant is familiar, without being accompanied by another person 9 points
and you are now stating that you can do this on your own, then you may now score only 6 points for.
"15 (c) Is unable to get to a specified place with which the claimant is unfamiliar without being accompanied by another person."
You can approach your GP for assistance, but they are not obliged to help you.
If you are re-assessed, you may be obliged to attend a new medical, it would depend on whether a Decision could be made from any ESA50 and/or evidence you were to submit.
