I've been trying to find a webpage for travel expenses for *both* patient and accompanying carer for an ATOS medical but can't find a relevant webpage - including searching these forums.

The Atos webpage isn't that clear...
www.atoshealthcare.com/index.php?option=...ion&id=14&Itemid=288

You can come to your assessment with a relative, friend or carer
We will pay your expenses as advised on your appointment letter; claim forms are available at the assessment centre.

Can anyone help?

Hi N,

I'm not sure whether ATOS will pay travelling expenses for a companion.

However, I do know that they will not pay Taxi fare, unless it is arranged and agreed before hand.

Maybe you should contact them via the contact details on their website.

Maybe another member can throw more light on this situation.

I wanted to take a train so that would be two return train tickets.

Hi N,

You would have to clarify this with ATOS.

Got a reply....

"Thank you for your e-mail. I am afraid that we only reimburse a customers travel expenses and not those of a companion.

I am sorry if this information was not clear and can confirm that I will bring this matter to the attention of the relevant department for their information."
