ESA stopped for a day was created by carole
Esa are playing god with MY money...
I sent in my sick (fit note) the day after my Dr gave it to me(14/feb .I sent it and on the sat got a brown letter saying my sick line was late.
I called them mon morn 20/feb they had now received it, all is fine.
My (still in assessment) esa was due on the 27/feb but it was not paid they once again left me with no money and no means of heating arghhh im disabled live alone...I called them they stated my sick line was late 23/feb?? I told them that I had called them on the 20th feb and they said it was fine. How can they do this Do I have a legal time limit to get this in they clearly got it 7 days before my pay date?? Its putting me into debt they did this only 2 weeks previous when they did not pay me for 4 weeks im seeing my MP on the 9march and awaiting a call from community legal team. I have called and been called by their customer complaints services (farce) but no sorry or indeed legal explanation in the way they are treating me..

If you have supplied a Fit Notes covering the period from your original application for ESA to the current date or some time in the future, then there should be no reason for the DWP to suspend payemt of your ESA.

However, if you are only receiving Fit Notes covering a short period it is possible that their system are showing a break due to the time it takes for post to make it through their system.

Unfortunately, if you have provided the necessary documents, there is little you can do but keep contacting them for an update.

One last thing you might want to check, I am aware of someone who also had problems with their Fit Notes a couple of years ago, but about this time of year, and it was found that the new Fit Note had been put into the system with the previous years date, meaning it was not shown as being active.

Good luck
