Royal Assent was created by tartanman
Now that the Welfare Reform Bill has been passed by the House of Commons, what is the likelyhood of our Queen refusing to give this Bill Royal Assent? Does anyone know if this has happened in the past?

Highly unlikely I'm afraid.

About as much chance as me winning the lottery, and I don't buy tickets
It was Queen Anne in the early 18th Century (I think it was 1707, might have been 1708) who vetoed a law to reform the Scottish militia.
HM Queen Elizabeth II will merely sign her signature to an Act that will put thousands of her 'subjects' both disabled or able-bodied on the poverty line.
