Will it go agaist me ...

wanting to find out I currently have a Mobility car. My DLA was stopped in November and they have agreed for me to keep the car until end of May. I am waiting for a tribunal date but this could be months away. I currently drive an automatic.I need to look for a car soon if I get a manual car will this go against me at the tribunal as it states in my application that I drive an automatic but I cannot afford an automatic as they are more expensive so worried !!

Please remember that when your appeal is eventually heard, the tribunal will be looking at whether your limitations/disabilities/needs, qualified you for an award of DLA at the time of the adverse DLA decision.

You should take into account whether the use of a manual gearbox is contradictory to the level of disability and resulting limitations and needs stated by yourself, that may qualify you for an award of DLA.

Obviously, if your ability to drive is brought up, you should tell the truth if you are then using a car with a manual gearbox.

If the price of an "automatic" means that you cannot afford one, then you really have no choice. If relevant you should explain the predicament that has been forced upon you.
