Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Chrissy, home visits are sometimes done if a doctor backs up the request. However, it is not a 'right' and cannot be demanded (as I understand it).

Hi CV,
A Home assessment can be requested when filling in the ESA50.
It is important here, to discuss this with your G.P. beforehand, as if an ESA113 is sent to your G.P. , question 6 asks the G.P. whether you can travel to an assessment.
See ESA113 here :
www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/esa113-interactive.pdf
Home assessments are very difficult to obtain, there is also an option if allowed, and confirmed beforehand, to travel to the assessment centre by taxi.
Have a look at ATOS's website also :

Hope this helps .
