ESA Premiums and DLA

I have a question about ESA premiums. I have read the FAQ which was very helpful. I am wondering whether in addition to the qualifications mentioned, replies to the ESA 50 or LCW/LCWRA descriptors or perhaps both, are taken into account. If so would this mean that DLA would stop even if it has been awarded until 2015? I am not sure whether the premiums are intended to replace DLA.
Thank you. Rachias.

The Premiums do not replace DLA, they provide additional payments (on top of their ESA), to a claimant meeting the relevant criteria.Hi there

Hope this explains it.

The Premiums do not replace or reduce a claimants DLA payments, they are paid in addition, on top of an enabling benefit such as ESA(IR).Thanks Gordon for your reply. Would the claimant receive the ESA premium and DLA if he had already been awared it, or would the DLA be stopped? Thanks in advance.
Rachias.

When i rang the DWP yesterday to inform them i had won my DLA claim as i wanted to know if this makes a difference to my ESA? They told me that when the information comes through from the appeal courts i may be entitled to the disable premium? If this is the case will it be back dated as i've only just won both appeals. ESA will have to go back to May 2010 & DLA until march 2010, will i get the premiums from may 2010 or just from they recieve all the information?
