appeal & SARS form question was created by twinkerzzz
Hi
re appeal & SARS :
1. Am i right in saying my benefit is unaffected during appeal if i am appealing to go from Wrag to Support group and where my benefit has migrated from Income support into ESA? My personal adviser at JCP seemed to think i might have my payments suspended if i appealed but i thought this only occurred if my claim was new.
2. Regarding SARS form: there is a question which says between what dates of my personal information do i wish to request. Is it better to take the opportunity to request the entire history of my DWP personal information or should i just be concerned with the personal information related only with the period regarding the assessment being challenged ? I was wondering if it was worth looking at previous data related to when i was on income support ?
3. Would this SARS data be more 'complete' than any documents the DWP might send me as part of forwarding my case for appeal or are they essentially replicated bundles?
4. Do i send the SARS form to the office which deals with my current ESA claim ? I got it off the internet and it doesn't really specify - it just says nearest office but the office which deals with my London claim is & has always been in Glasgow.
many thanks for your attention

1. See What will I be paid while I appeal?
2. Entirely up to you
3. The DWP "appeal pack" has to include everything that was used to make the Decision on your claim, however, this does not mean that that this was all of the information available, so there may be documents that they didn;t use that might be if relevance.
4. Send the SAR to the office dealing with your claim.
