When I'm found fit to work (assuming my financial circs haven't changed re 'income related') is it JSA (income related) that I would be moved onto?
Thx.

I'm currently on ESA (income related).
When I'm found fit to work (assuming my financial circs haven't changed re 'income related') is it JSA (income related) that I would be moved onto?
Thx.
Yes J, it would be IR JSA, unless your circumstances changed.
I assume that you did not have the necessary NI Contribution for CB ESA, so the same would apply for JSA.
As a footnote, it would help us if you kept your questions to the one thread.
Cheers

(1) On ESA (IR) wrag group I currently get benefit help on payments for council tax, mortgage interest, landlord service charges and medical costs (dental, optician & prescriptions).
If I were ever moved onto JSA (IR) - and assuming my financial status remained the same - would all of these benefits remain in place ie. does moving to JSA (IR) automatically cancel any?
(2) Are there any additional payments one receives for being on JSA? (I mean JSA - IR).
(3) ESA (IR) as a 'passported benefit' gives me access to legal aid without my having to pay any legal fees. Would any move from ESA (IR) to JSA (IR) change this legal aid access (ie. no legal fees to pay)?
Thx.

Hi J,
Receipt of all IR Benefits/Allowances is subject to the claimant passing a "Means Test".
Therefore qualifying for any IR benefit/allowance should give access to any "passported benefits".
I am afraid that we do not advise on JSA.
If you have any doubts seek professional advice.
Where to get advice?

It should be possible to move from ESA(IR) to JSA(IR) without an interuption to benefit payments.
I believe that Legal Aid is available with JSA(IR), however, there may be changes in what you can use it for, you would need to seek advice on this from the CAB or Welfare Rights.
