Thank you Bro58
I should have stated that I have had the paperwork stating I am in the Support Group. It doesnt give any timeframe
at all.(Only the phone call said 6 months)
So, my question is I have requested the relevant paperwork over the phone. Is this sufficient?
Also...as I said before there have been certain posts relating to the timeframe set down by DWP and isnt always adhered to......... is this correct?
O.K. J3234,
The paperwork can be requested over the phone, (ESA85, etc, etc) however it is always advisable to back this up with a written request, to create a paper audit trail.
I think the "certain posts" that you refer to, are with respect to the fact that the DWP do seem to have a backlog with IB migrations and ESA re-assessments.
Therefore people are not always being re-assessed/migrated, when they would expect to be.
However, this will vary from area to area.
Once you are aware of your "prognosis", you should work on the premise that you will be re-assessed around that time.
Please take into account also, that whatever the length of award (prognosis) the re-assessment process may well start some weeks before, to allow for the issuing and return of the ESA50, possible medical, etc, etc.

While I feel It hasnt completely answered my questions, I guess you guys cant ever be 100% either.
This site is invaluable and well worth the subscription, especially for someone like me who was suddenly plunged into it from a great height!
One other question.... I would really appreciate an answer..
:- if I use your standard templates over various issues .... does this mean DWP think you are being "groomed" so to speak from a website such as this?
Thanks.

Hi J3234,
People are at liberty to take and use any advice that they wish to, from any available source.
This includes the use of template letters.
If you are not comfortable doing this, try personalising the templates slightly, whilst still leaving the key points unchanged.

Please dont think that I feel that way, but I did read something about the government trying to close sites like this down.
