It used to be the case that starting Permitted Work while on IB could trigger a re-assessment, but with the transfer of IB claimants to ESA this is no longer the case, although a claimant doing Permitted Work will be recorded on their file and this information will be available to ATOS when they are transferred.

You need to careful regarding the hours you do while on Permitted Work, as exceeding them can cause major problems with regard to an IB/ESA claim. Our FAQ only applies to PW while on ESA, so I've included a link to the DirectGov site.
