Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Steve
There is no clear advice regarding this situation.
The test, according to the WCA handbook, is primarily aimed at assessing the capabilities of the lower and upper body, in other words the strength of the legs and arms with regard to lifting the body up and across, the example used is from a wheelchair to a toilet.
My personal opinion, which of course counts for little is that if you cannot sit in the first place, then you cannot perform the test and therefore should meet the criteria for 2(a).
However, if you were able to move from a prone position to standing up, then this may argue against the above.
Bottom line, state what you believe to be the case, and support it with appropriate medical evidence wherever possible.
Good luck.

Do you use an electric rise and redline chair?
In that section which I know helps one to go to support group 2a, be wary how you answer it.
I am unable to get up and move from chair to chair and like you unable to sit in a normal upright chair.
I presume you too also uses a rise and recline for sitting/ lying down, in order to keep ones feet up. For getting up and walking I expect you too can only do so from the rise/recline almost standing you up on to your walker or whatever you use for walking.
If you use such a chair make sure you answer the descriptors stating the type of chair etc rather than one seat to another as an upright chair.
Just an idea to help.
