Someone told me today that they know someone who had an assessment and was found fit for work, but they have been given Pension Credits so they don,t have to go to JS+ i dont understand this as they are not retirement age i think they have about 4 years till they are ,does anyone know anything about this, as i am almost 59 and if pension age for women had,nt have changed i would,nt be being reassessed at all.

Hi CV,
Some claimants are offered the option of claiming Pension Credit early.
Whether this would be the best option for any particular individual, would depend on their personal circumstances, and professional face to face advice should be sought first.

I'm sorry but we cannot advise on Pension Credits, as Bro58 has suggested, you need to get face to face advice. SeeHi Gordon, do you know if there is a chance of this in my case at my age, i only get IB at the moment, have a motability car with my DLA always have, so i,m already on a very limited amount of money less than £100 per week after some rent and council tax is taken out of it, also i live alone and have no private or works pension, also been on IB for almost 27 years.

Why can’t you answer a question about my specific claim?
Where to get advice?
