Ok, thank you very much.
I will contact my Doc tomorrow and ask him to do an urgent letter detailing the details of my kidney/pancreas transplant and also my heart condition that I'm awaiting and angiogram for.
Thanks again

Sorry to bear more bad news, but when universal credit is introduced next year, even those in the support group will lose entitlement to contributory ESA if they also have even a small pension or a partner who is earning. This is because, although contributory ESA is not part of universal credit, it will be administered by the same IT system and will be aligned with universal credit earnings rules - 65% of other household earned income and 100% of any personal pension will be taken into account which means most people in this situation will lose all or most of the ESA they have worked and contributed for. This includes the support group - the most vulnerable and severely disabled who the government pledged to support. This change has been sneaked in under the radar of most of the disability groups and there is no mention of it on the DWP timetable of benefit changes. I have started an e-petition so if you are as outraged as I am go to epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/32503 and sign it, and get as many others as you can to do the same.

I'll admit I have spent less time that I should looking at the introduction of the Universal Credit, however, my understanding is the Contribution Based ESA will remain, unchanged, and will run in parallel with the UC. It is Income Related ESA that will be replaced with the Universal Credit, which will operate substantially the same as it does now.

Hi all
I had a call from the lovely lady at DIAL today. She has spoken to a benefits and welfare assitant at the voluntary service they deal with.
As you'll know if you've read above my ESA is ending the end of this month due to being in the WRAG and reaching the cap, despite being entitled to be in the Support Group.
He has said that I have definitely received the ESA50 because of some trigger on my health conditions, I am guessing this has come from the Jobcentre advisor as my conditions have deteriorated and that is what has happened? He has said if I am placed in a group I will start to receive benefits again, if it's the WRAG group it will start again and be for year, if it's Support Group then it will be as long as they deem it for.
Does anyone have any info on if this is right, or not. I would like to think that it was as it will mean that I could start to receive some money again? Does anybody know if this is right if placed back into the WRAG
Thanks xx

I am afraid some of the information you have been given by DIAL is incorrect.
If, after re-assessment, you are placed into the WRAG again, then your benefits will not be re-instated as you will have had your 365 days in the WRAG whilst receiving ESA(CB). The only way you would be able to receive ESA(CB) again, whilst being placed in the WRAG is if you re-qualify for ESA(CB) in the first place, which requires you to meet the NI Contribution Conditions and for there to be at least a 12 week gap in your claims.
They are, however, correct, with regard to the Support Group, if you are placed in the SG, then your ESA(CB) will be re-instated and you will receive back payment of any missed benefit.
Sorry
