Letter from DWP was created by philip
Received a letter today from DWP regarding my appeal for ESA stating that the decision has been lookeed at again and changed in my favour . What I want to know now is how do I know what group I am in. I stated in my appeal I think I should be in the support group. Does this mean I have been put in that or they could change it in my favour and still place me in the work realed group ?
Thanks
Thanks

If the original decision was that you are not entitled to ESA, then you could have been put in either group.

Plus your income, yours and your partners, must not exceed any ESA(IR) payments, whilst not an absolute figure, anybody who earns more than £150/w will be unlikely to qualify.

You need to have assets of less than £16000 (although benefit will reduce if you have savings/assets over £6000). In addition your partner, if you have one, cannot work more than 24 hours per week and/;or earn more than aprox £150 per week.
I think these figures are accurate, they are certainly in the right ball-park.
