Thanks for that. I feel a bit more confident about making an appeal than I did a few days ago, at least I can work in that direction. As it seems to take along time I might be 60 before I get some result, though I have to hang on for three more years before I can retire. Are there any stats available that break down ESA claimants by age? Indeed is age taken into account at all, as my prospects, for example are going to be very different from some one who is twenty five years younger than me. Basho

I'm not aware of any statistics relating to age, and I'm afraid your age is not a consideration in the assessment process.
