Hi,
Google anxiety and depression, and find a list of descriptions for both conditions.
List them on a piece of paper, and then discuss with your partner which "fit" you.
Then put these into the official document.
Ask your partner to give one sentence/phrase that best describes how your [problems upset him, and list these, too.

Consider these phrases.'when anxious I can be insensitive to the neds of others, this leads to friends and family being distressed' 'when tired and anxious I have difficulty finding the right words and can use phrases that cause offence even though I do not intend to'
'when anxious I have difficulty finding words, this leads to,be being very slow of speech and epeoplefind this hardto cope with'.
Emma 72, I have no idea what your difficulties are but do know that urgency to get that form filled in. use these phrases if it helps or just ignore them.
good luck

I've allowed your post after checking the example answers in the ESA guides.

However, I would like to remind members that the Moderators will not allow posts that share or propose detailed answers to the questions on the various benefit forms, as this could bring the site into dis-repute.

My husband wrote a covering letter about how he sees my physical disabilities affecting me and how they then manifset themselve as emmotional problems, he gave examples in his statement of how my emmotions are affected ie short temper depression anxiety, shouting at peopl for no reason. this statment was then signed by him and enclosed with my esa50. you could perhaps do something similar and write in the box "also see enclosed statement"
best wishes

Hi, just give a couple of examples, maybe you cry or you snap at people. Also get your partner to describe how he feels.
My husband complaints that I can sometimes hurt the kids by snapping at them and upset everyone by crying all the time.
Good luck with the form and take care x

Hi,Gordon,
you make a very valid point about members offering "answers" which relate to questionnaire questions regarding benefit forms . However some of the answerers, myself included , are coming from members with same or similar disorders/illnesses/complaints.
And, as April is almost ended , levels of anxiety are bound to increase, in members lives, and their families. So, some members
who relate to these queries on the site , are inclined to do exactly what moderaters do so well, which is.. help..or offer help. I don't regard this as bringing the site into disrepute as such. The moderaters have the option not to post comments, or lock a topic.
Members with anxiety states cannot switchoff their concerns & questions quite as easily, as you know.
