Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
Requesting phone WFI was created by slugsta
I receieved an appointment for my first WFI, phoned up to ask that this is carried out over the phone and was told that someone would get in touch. Phoned again yesterday and was told the same thing but still no contact - other than a letter reminding me that my appointment is next week!
Am I doing the correct thing by phoning the central appointment line? That is the only phone number they have provided. Should I have written to the local JobCentre instead? If so, I am going to have to get that done ASAP, otherwise I will have run out of time.

I would ring your local JCP and ask to speak to the person with whom you have your WFI. After I had my first WFI my adviser said any further reviews could be done over the phone. Luckily I have since been put in the SG. Hope you get it sorted.

I've just looked up the local number and tried that, but it is not even ringing out.

Mrs H
I'm not sure there is any right way to deal with this. we've done both with no consistent result.
Do you actually have the name of the advisor you are seeing, because ultimately its their decision as to what happens?

No, I don't have the name of whomever I am supposed to see.

Have you tried asking for a supervisor, when we were trying to re-arrange my wife's WFI we were stuck with someone who just took messages and gave out incorrect information, it was only when we escalated the issue that we got it sorted.

Given the timescale, there's no guarantee that a letter will make it through the mail system in time for anybody to take action on it.No, I don't have the name of whomever I am supposed to see.
