Council tax and Mortgage relief with ESA? was created by rainysnows
Sorry to come across as a bit dim but my circumstances have changed and I am not quite sure what's going on.I recently seperated from someone I was caring for - hence lost my carers allowance, income support, mortgage relief and presumably council tax (though I haven't had a letter from them yet )I put in a claim for ESA with my "fit/sick note" and that's where I'm at. ( income based esa) All my money is stopped and in limbo.
My questions are :- if I am successful will I get mortgage asistance/council tax back again? If it takes months to go through appeal ( if I have to ) what do I pay the mortgage and coucil tax with ?
any help appreciated as very worried as you can understand, cheers
Rainy

Hi,

Sorry but due to the complexity of such as Mortgage and Council Tax relief, it is impossible to reliably answer your query on an open forum. It is also lies far beyond the remit of the forum.

To even attempt it may lead to giving incorrect information as we have no sight of all case related documentation.

You really do need to obtain face to face advice from a Welfare Rights agency/CAB etc who can go through your situation in depth.

See Where to get advice?
