IB to ESA, lost £60 per week? was created by lochlisa
Got a friend who was transferred from IB straight into ESA support group with no medical but his benefits have dropped by £60 per week.
Any idea what might have caused this and where to look for an explanation?
thank you
Lisa

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It is almost impossible to say why someone's overall benefits have altered and by what amounts. particularly as there have been very recent changes in legislation which can affect entitlement to such as Local Housing Allowance/Housing Benefits etc.
Thus without knowledge of exactly what benefits your friend is claiming, it can not be properly established why their income has been reduced.
Your friend should really obtain some face to face advice from a welfare rights agency/CAB etc to go through their entire benefits package to establish what has changed and why.

Did he get severe disability premium when he was on ib? that goes with hrc of dla if you live alone and no one gets carers allowance for you, if so I'm wondering if they havent put it back on yet.
Didnt he get a break down of what he is being paid?
