Hi mcintosh, i had to have a medical almost 2 weeks ago now, i,m waiting to hear the outcome.

Reading this is quite good news. I was born in 1953 and have just returned my form for transferring to ESA from IB. I am not sure how long I will wait before knowing what will group I will be in. If you are retired on ill health from a good part time job cannot imagine how I would managed if they want me to try and work again. If I was well enough I would still be there .

I wonder whether this might indicate a different approach of maybe leaving those who are over 60 alone, even though the pension ages have changed?

Extract from the FAQs

Upper Age Limit
You cannot be asked to attend a WFI if you have reached or passed the upper age limit.

For a woman this is their State Retirement Age.
For a man this is the State Retirement Age of a woman born on the same day.
