hi all,

finally the DLA have admitted they 'misfiled' my change of circumstances claim in February this year.

'Medical (dis) Services' called me today to say they were sending a Dr on Wednesday!!

Naturally, I told them to take a hike as I needed warning to make sure my legal rep and carer were here and, anyway, I want to record the whole thing.

I was told I would need to write to Blackpool and tell them this.

Was any decision ever taken as to whether these can be recorded at home?

Anything I should be looking out for when the 'Dr' comes along?

thanks,

Lisa

As far as I am aware the DWP recording of medicals does not extend to home medicals for either DLA or ESA.

You can of course covertly record the meeting providing the "doctor" does not become aware of this.

Just to back up what Gordon has said, the official line is that you cannot have any recording on a 'home visit'.

Shamefully, in my view, Grayling confirmed this in a parliamtentary written answer last Feb:

At least the DWP has given up pretending that a covert recording would be in any way illegal - and what else do they expect?
