Is it time to appeal DLA was created by Trundles
Hi to all, i have been a member for a while but this is my first post. I have just got a decision of HRM and LRC was on MRC for 5 years .Im thinking of appealing the care componant. I recived the letter telling me of the decision I then sent some additional info and recieved another letter stating the decision will stay the same. Do I now go ahead with the appeal or is there a process before this.
Many thanks to all

It sounds as if the DWP have carried out a reconsideration and found against you. If this is the case then your only recourse is to appeal - being aware that there is the risk of losing your current award rather than getting an 'upgrade'. There is lots of help in the appeal guides on this site.

Yes, you can appeal this Decision but please have a look at the following FAQs

Is there any risk to challenging a decision?

How long do I have to appeal?

How to submit an appeal
