SO FAR........... was created by paula
Hi all, jut to give you an update to what is happening with tranfer and what i have learned. Got the letter dated 4th may on 5th saying benefits are changing, then phonecall happened last week, they said they called three times they did not. It said on the letter we had to phone them back, so my mum called, but i had to answer a couple of secuirty questions, they said under law they are not allowed to leave messages on answer machine. They said there is a time limit to call them back, so did that in time on friday. Here is the strange thing got the esa form through today datd 20th may which is a sunday! The medical services work on a sunday.
Have got letters of support, cpn etc, and doing a couple of pages a day. Someone is helping me fill it in, by my dictacting and they writing. So three pages today and so on. You guides and the advice has been amazing.
Cpn said he would go to a medical with me along with my mum, got non medical etters from my husband and friend and mum, how long frined has known me etc, and realting to the descriptors.
They seems to have changed tattics in that you have to phone them and tell them you have the letter, a friend of mine who is a few weeks ahaead of me was told the same thing.
Will be sending it back recorded signed for and tracked and well within the time frame, and sedning it all off to dm just in case because well, you never know.
Lots of luck to others going trough it, I have had many sleepless nights and it has not helped the bipolar of the RA. we battle on. Sorry for the long post.
One question do i contact them every couple of weeks or do i leave well enough alone. Just talking to the dwp for 40 seconds last week has had a major impact on me. Take care.

Once you return the ESA50, the next stage is whether you need a medical or not.
You should hear about this within 2-3 weeks, although some members have had to wait longer, so I would give them a chance to contact you before pursuing it with ATOS.
If you have restrictions as to when you can attend a medical, then it would be to your advantage to take the call, however, if they fail to contact you, they will write to you with details of the appointment.
Of course, you may be lucky and not require a medical, in which case your file will be returned to the DWP, but in the first instance, you should still contact ATOS to see if this has happened.
Good luck

Hi Paula, yes Atos work 7 days a week thats what they told me when they rang me to arrange my medical, so if you have to have a medical it could be on a weekend day, i,d like to wish you good luck.
