Finally got my letter last Sat (26th May) to say that I would be transferring to ESA from my additional pensions contributions ICB £113.32p per month. Still waiting for the telephone call, mind you they were 5 months late in sending the letter, I should have had a review in Jan 12! The fun will begin if they declare me fit for work as I get War Pensions UNSUPP. Really looking forward to what athey have to say.
Any one else in the same situation? Oh BTW I am 70% disabled for War Pensions.
My ESA50 arrived last Sat (9 Jun) having a quick glance through it does it seem easier than the last one I filled in, in 2006? They need it to be back to them by 9 Jul they won't get it before then, believe you me.
Hi Ian,
Do not forget that if you would like face to face help in completing the ESA50, you can make use of such as the Veterans Welfare Service or RBL. These can generally be accessed much quicker than the 'civvy route' of Welfare Rights/CAB etc.
For your local Veterans Welfare Service contact your nearest centre from the following web page:
www.veterans-uk.info/welfare/contact.html
or for RBL help call Legionline on 08457 725725.
Also if applicable The National Gulf War Veterans & Families Association and RAFA provide a similar service.

Just to let you know Pete, I rang the RBL and they got in touch with the CAB in a town near me, and I have an appointment with them (ESA50 filling in) on the 2nd Jul. Fairly quick for up this neck of the woods.

Hi Ian,
In certain parts of the country the RBL does fund certain advisers within CABx under the Poppy Advice Scheme to provide a service to serving members of HM Forces and Veterans. Around the country there are 43 such advisors.
Good luck with your claim anyway.
