Have I reason for complaint to dwp? was created by Dragonia
Further to my recent posts, I sent in DLA renewal form in March, received by them on March 12th.
My DLA award ended on 21st June.
They decided to contact a consultant that I've never actually seen. This was declared on the form. ( I actually used to be seen every year by one of his clinicians whose since retired and the last time I saw her was in 2010)
Been referred back to this consultant, but because of the grinding machinery of the NHS was given an appointment with another, who just referred me back and now will have to wait till October to see him.
After waiting 14 weeks I received a letter asking me to go for a medical in July.
Do I have grounds to complain about the length of time they've taken.
What happens now regarding my motability car. No-one has contacted me regarding this, and have I lost my lower rate care?
I'm at my wits end, and feel that my life is not worth living

There is no prescribed time for a DLA Decision to be made within, although, most should be decided within 11-13 weeks, so, given that you have already waited 14 weeks and have at least several more to wait just to attend a medical, it would be reasonable for you to make a complaint, see
Complaining to the DWP
With regard your car, I'm tempted to say that if Motability have not yet contacted you, to let sleeping dogs lie, they are far more pro-active than they used to be at having cars returned when someone loses their HRM.

I have a review of my Dla ongoing at the moment. It started last December and still not had a decision yet although I have had the medical so expect a decision anytime soon. They must really be overloaded at the minute
