Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

There used to be real issues with evidence attached to the ESA50 going missing as it made its way through ATOS and back to the DWP, however, these have been eliminated to a considerable extent, and as a consequence our original advice (pre 2011), to send a duplicate to the DWP no longer applies.
However, if you wish to do this, there is no harm in you doing so, although it is very unlikely that a DM will look at it until they have received you file back from ATOS.

Many thanks for your reply Gordon.
Just been to post office and posted to Atos and DWP, did not log on until now.
Nevertheless, as there was loads of info attatched to form for Atos, atleast if bits are missing or gone astray, then DWP will have all the info.
Thanks again.

Send a copy now to ATOS and one to the DWP explaining what happened and take one with you to the medical.
If its not with the ESA50 on the day, give the ATOS "doctor" a copy and insist that they read it before commencing the assessment, they are required to read all such evidence, see 3.1.2 of the WCA Handbook.
